This time, the downturn in our economy has been such that, none has been able to escape from it. A year to year and a half from now, when all companies look back at what they went through, in the previous two years, the unanimous opinion will be, “we have all suffered”.
The latest to join the list of companies reporting quarterly results, lower than that of the previous year, is Microsoft Corp. This is the first time, in its twenty-three year public history, that the company has had a drop in quarter on quarter revenues.
Like many others earlier, the company did not give any guidance for the rest of the year. An indication that, nobody knows which way the economy will move.
